The Vice Dean of the College of Education for Academic Affairs participated in Book Fair in Medina.
The University of Seiyun, represented by the Vice Dean of the College of Education, Dr. Ali Hassan Al-Aidrous, participated in the cultural events accompanying the Book Fair in Medina, organized by the Authority for Literature and Publishing in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. One of these events was the open event entitled: (Read More), in which the Vice Dean, Dr. Al-Aidrous, spoke on the ministry's Twitter account about the importance of this distinguished reading project, noting his attendance at the poetry evening for the poet Hind Al-Nazari and the poet Dughaith Al-Hikmi, who presented distinguished models of traditional form and modern content poetry.
The Vice Dean of the College of Education for Academic Affairs, Dr. Ali Hassan Al-Aidrous, also attended the dialogue seminar on the folk tale, the values and heritage of peoples, in which Dr. Manal Al-Qahtani had an enjoyable and interesting dialogue with Dr. Hajed Al-Harbi about this present and absent art and its problems. In this seminar, Dr. Ali Hassan Al-Aidrous intervened, speaking on behalf of the University of Seiyun, the Colleges of Arts and Education, on an important issue, which is the extent of our today's comprehension of employing this tale with a number of cultural and literary genres such as the novel, theater, cinema, and visual communication media, and not just limiting it to children's literature as we notice. This is an intersection with genres for the first time occurring with this art in its broad form, which allows for the dissemination of values and heritage in a wider way in human culture, especially since the folk and fantastic tale in particular has been evolving through generations in the imagined storytelling world. Dr. Manal and Dr. Hajed emphasized the importance of this factor and the need to pay attention to it in academic research and studies on the evolution of this art and its value and heritage importance for humanity.
Dr. Al-Aidrous expressed his sincere thanks and greetings to the Saudi Authority for Heritage and Publishing for facilitating his attendance at all these events without difficulty, hoping to achieve more cooperation and communication between the University of Seiyun and the Saudi Authority for Literature and Publishing.
